Because I didn’t cover it anywhere near adequately two years ago, I have decided it is high time to give it the credit it is due with a full post about it!
Borough Market is nestled between Southwark and London Bridge, and has pretty much any kind of food you could ever want between its four open-air walls, both take away and prepare at home. It’s my go-to place for tomatoes, figs and berries in the fall…
…cheap and yet lick-the-plate delicious paella all year round…
…and of course everything and anything sweet and chocolatey homemade in kitchens from Sussex, France and even beyond.
Even when I’m not in the mood to buy anything (or, more than likely, I can’t cram anything else into my tiny fridge) it is fun to go and have a look around at all the food. I often find things that I’ve never even heard of.
This last time, I took HBL and we stumbled across a vendor that sold ostrich and kangaroo burgers. Of course, he had to try one. I have to admit, it actually looked pretty good…
He offered me a bite, even knowing my vegetarian sensitivities, and I have to admit, I wasn’t completely revolted when he waved it in my face…would you have tried it?

I love Borough Market, one of my favourite places in London, you always have to go there early though!
Hmm maybe…
