I started this blog six years ago to share my travels with family and friends. It grew from a place where I shared my impressions about the people, places, thoughts and things I encountered to a really cool way to experience the world. It gave me freedom and creativity to plan and go on the most amazing adventures, and then to grow my business as a “calling card” or portfolio of sorts, showing potential clients how I could build a brand from scratch online. But times are changing for me.
I turned 30 this year, and with that came a lot of soul searching and assessment. So much has changed in my life. For the past few years, my busienss has passed the six-figure mark. I’ve grown a small but successful marketing agency, all of which started from this blog. I’ve gotten a PhD and an MBA. I’ve gotten married. The goals and objectives I had 8 and even 5 years ago have shifted. I don’t just want to travel and see the world- although that is still a big part of who I am and what I want. I want to grow my client base, build my personal brand and flourish as a business owner. Travel is no longer the ends or even the means of my personal and professional journey.
If you keep track of me on social media, you’ll notice that I’ve been doing a lot of writing, speaking and getting press on my agency. This is where I’ll be focusing my time in the future- growing my marketing agency and the tech solution I’ve developed to support it (and small businesses and startups).
That doesn’t mean Careful Feet is dead- it just means it is changing. It has been rebirthed as Careful Feet Digital, a marketing agency aimed at supporting small businesses and startups through every step of the business journey. I’ll still share all my travels and tips through Instagram, but I’m going to expand the blog (and my Instagram) to give you more information on digital marketing, the agency and how I’m continuing to grow my business– another journey that I hope you’ll follow along on!
