This afternoon I got together with some friends to celebrate our reprieve from wintry weather (in April!) with some yoga in Cheesman Park.
My friend Jessica Owens is working her way up through the Denver yoga teacher scene, so we were lucky to snag a free, “private” (quotations because we were in public!) session with her.
We started with some traditional yoga asanas, but things quickly took a turn for the adventurous. Before we knew it, we were getting upside down and even doing some partner poses.
It was kind of cool to get up in the middle of the session and take awesome pictures. I took this one while upside down!
HBL wasn’t very appreciative of having his picture taken at every turn. Oh well. Sometimes you’ve got to be gutsy and just go for the shot!
This was my favorite part of class. It was like being a little kid all over again!
Look how strong I am! I even managed to get this 6’5″ man up in the air! All in a day’s work, I suppose!

Impressive that you can lift up that tall man!
I do not really do Yoga but I know it is a very useful thing to do. It takes away stress, it keeps you physically fit.
I think it is a great idea to do Yoga at park.
