This morning before jetting off to LA, HBL and I stopped at Denver’s best kept secret for a light breakfast: the Duffeyroll Café, home to Denver’s best cinnamon rolls.
When I moved to Denver (for the first time) from the East Coast, I was appalled by the lack of donut and pastry shops. I’m used to bakeries and Krispy Kremes lining the main streets of every city! After moping around the city for about a year, I stumbled across Duffeyroll and realized that my waiting had not been in vain.
As always, I wanted to fill up before heading West over the Rockies and amazing aerial view of the red deserts of Utah and Nevada, so I got the tried and true delicious original duffeyroll. HBL was a bit more adventurous and went for the Orange Zest.
Warm, cinnamon-y, sugar-y and crispy…definitely the start of a good trip to the West Coast!
As the locals say, calabunga dude! (I’m warming up for LA.)

I think you might mean "kowabunga?" Is "calabunga" different?
HAHA this just shows how much of the West Coast lexicon I have to learn!!! Although urban dictionary does accept both spellings, so I'm glad I am not the only one walking around with the misapprehension that the word is pronounced/spelled this way!
You are looking beautiful, thanks for the photos.
Cinnamon rolls have always been my favorite, I eat these from time to time.
This looks delicious, I'm really hungry right now!
Can you please like my Facebook Page, I promise you one thing you won't regret it.
