We started the day bright and early with the best of early morning beverages, Bloody Marys, followed by shots washed down with watermelon.
Heavily fortified with some drinks, we then went to downtown Denver, where many of the streets were closed off to accommodate the bands and street vendors galore.
It was super fun walking around and exploring all the things on offer. We even found a vendor where we could play a little dress up!
The Mowglis were the first act we watched, but we weren’t very dedicated to getting a good spot since we wanted the liberty to dance a bit, so I didn’t get any great photos of the band. I did, however, get some great crowd shots- and people watching is what concerts are really great for, after all. I mostly focused on good tattoos because a) everyone in Denver has them and b) I love to guess what each one means.
After the show I met up with one of my favorite fashion bloggers, Kristen Keller, for a little catch up session to compare notes on the day.
She inspired me to get more fashion-oriented shots when we went out to see Trampled by Turtles. And so I did. Just to give you guys a little taste of the music festival scene.
Again, kind of failed to get up too close, but I got some better shots this time, anyway. I ended up leaving before the headliner, Dada Life, went on- I was too tired from the full day. I’m not as young as I used to be!
The day was full of drinks, dancing and beach balls. Pretty perfect, if you ask me.
