An Ode to Brooklyn

Yesterday Emilie, HBL and I climbed a 14er; to be more specific, we hiked Grey’s Peak, which is  over 14,000 high. It was quite the effort, let me tell you. While Emilie seemed to book it up the mountain, I was definitely lagging behind.

I hiked the mountain on the left!

Since I’m not as young as I used to be, it has taken me all last evening
and this morning to recover, which is why I’m dubbing today “Laziest
Sunday of the Year.” I started off by lying in until at 10 and followed
it up with a trip to the Denver Biscuit Co.
for brunch, where I devoured a massive biscuit cinnamon roll all by
myself. On the way home, I made HBL stop and take some snaps of me with
my new Kate Spade Cobble Hill Leslie. I got it during the KS online
flash sale last week; it was a whopping 75% off! (Kate Spade has the best flash sales, seriously.)

Walking around Denver with this new bag makes me feel very cosmopolitan
indeed, and is a throw back to my old stomping grounds in Brooklyn. From
the only Trader Joe’s in Brooklyn to Waterfalls for Middle Eastern food
to Last Exit, my favorite bar, Cobble Hill was always a very fun place
to hang out and now I have a little piece of it with me (even if only in name) way out west.

As for my lazy day outfit? The dress is (very old) Juicy Couture, shoes are Toms and the watch is Daniel Wellington. If you want you want your own Daniel Wellington watch, make sure to enter my international giveaway before time’s up on Wednesday!

Hi I love the Kate Spate bag. I was actually thinking about getting one for myself so I've been looking a lot pictures on line trying to decide. Is this bag hold it's frame or it's very soft that loses it's shape when you put it down? Does it get softer and softer over time? Thanks
