Opening Day

Yesterday was the first Friday of April, which means two things to Denverites: the first First Friday Art Walk of the year, and opening day for the Colorado Rockies.

I am not much keen on baseball (sorry if that diminishes my American charm, but YUCK!), but since I work downtown, I was thrown right into the thick of opening day frenzy. Every bar and restaurant was RAMMED with people. So after finishing up my day, I hightailed it out of downtown and went with the lovely HBL to the first First Friday Art Walk of the year!

After speaking with a few local artists and gazing at so much interesting art, we started to get super hungry. Even though there were TONS of food trucks on the art walk, only a few of them had vegetarian options, so we settled down at our new favorite spot, Odyssey, for some delicious Italian food and a bottle of South African wine.

Yay for the weekend! Which piece do you like the most? My favorite was the city of Styrofoam!

Baseball takes too long to finish, no wonder why you hate it.

Thanks for telling us about Odyssey, the food looks nice. Italian foods tend to be delicious.
